Rajasthan.. what a lovely beautiful place :D
The old havelis seem to be telling a story; have one look at these pics and just close your eyes and you can see the Jagirdars & the thakurains (with huge key bunches hanging from their waist) of old times…maybe some kids playing gulli danda in the courtyards, some lala sitting in one of these havelis fleecing the poor villagers of their belongings, some lass sitting in one of the balconies looking at her paramour riding a camel in the desert sand outside her haveli, shyly from behind a ghoonghat so richly colored as the puppets in your picture.
Wonderful capture and great captions :)
Just a tad saddening to see modernity draw dark black lines across all the beauty of the yore!
Having a very aptly titled "the door to the ancient times", this collection is indeed a window to the past!!
Loved the puppets too, so beautifully capturing the essence of Rajasthan… I should know, I was one for long ;)
Way to go NA.. keep 'em coming :D
Seems like you have a very close connection to this place...n to the puppets!! I have captured the essence with my camera...I guess you have captured it with experience!!
